Sellers have been getting very creative lately and I have heard of a lot of people using the raffle type sales method.
They are also selling on Ebay and offering incentives like cruises, cars or trips.
You should probably check in your state or municipality to determine if this is legal.
If it was me, I would get some legal advice before embarking on this.
What is your bottom line? If you only sold 100 tickets at $20 each you could end up $2000 cash and someone could get the house for $20. Would that be OK with you?
Why not just go to a printer, like Kinkos, Office Max or Staples and have tickets printed to your design on card stock.

You need to check your states raffle laws. In most states they are only legal if you are a non-profit organization, you can not profit from a raffle.

You must own the property free and clear – you cannot auction property that is not yours. Other than that you are free to try to achieve this, but if you don’t get the total sales of tickets that you think you can, then you’ll have to deliver the house fair and square. You can buy "tickets" but I think you’ll be better off with "certificates" numbered.

In most states it’s illegal to do what your suggesting. Better check your state laws before proceeding.
