Sounds about right.
They can charge up to 6% though – so you are getting a break.
See if you can get them down to 4%.
The company remax gets half – the realtor gets half.
If a buyer brings in his own agent these fees will have to be split.

There is no standard fee. Every REALTOR® and every office has a different business model. Some only charge 1% and others charge flat fees other charge more. You should simply ask the REALTOR® what they want commission wise and then you’ll know. Everyone charges differently so there is no general answer. Some brokerages take 0% of the commission and charge a deal fee. For example my office takes nothing from my commission except a deal fee for processing etc. Other offices take 50% of the commission that the REALTOR® receives from the sale. You should just ask because business models and commissions vary REALTOR® to REALTOR® and office to office.
