Selling a house to a contractor or builder?

I have an old house (Chicago suburb). The remodeling would cost a lot of money. I’m thinking about selling the house to a contractor or builder. Has anybody experience with this issue? What do I have to looking for?

I am a contractor, and although I don’t personally buy houses. I do work with plenty of "flippers" if you can sell the house to someone who is going to live there, I would suggest this route, as "flippers" make their money by buying cheap, spending little, and selling high or at fair market price.

Fix simple things, and paint the interior and exterior (exterior if needed) replace out of date fixtures, and you should get a decent price for your home. After all, this is all that is required for some flips… So why let someone else get the end reward, and you take next to nothing??

    Hope this helps.
